My mother's struggle
In the 70s, when she was a pro-MLF (Women's Liberation Movement) activist, deeply inspires my stances and what I have always stood for.
This collection is my tribute to what women like my mother endured in an era infinitely more chauvinistic than the one in which we must now find our place.
Handmaid's Tale, which also inspired the well-known series. The pitch: reducing still-fertile women to reproductive slavery by stripping away the few rights they had, before the rise of an ultra-totalitarian military state.

For this shell to exist on its own and radiate without a setting, I had to find a way to sublimate its natural material.
The META world and classic tutorials advise sanding (an aggressive method that destroys the fine natural layer).
There is no question of settling for this approach. Out of respect for the material (echoing the respect for the body), I refuse this violation. I have therefore invented a unique alternative: crystallization, which I explain below.
The Dadaist Idea: Annihilate to Create
My desire was to find a new way to showcase the shell, pushing the boundaries of minimalism even further. The goal was no longer to highlight or embellish the setting, but to make it disappear, so you wear NOTHING BUT the shell.

Soft, smooth, and common, it is notably the white material typically favored for standard laser-cut shapes, often mass-produced from mussels farmed in river basins.
Here, sculpting this exceptional nacre without any setting is an almost Dadaist approach: stripping away tradition and the classic mount to retain only the pure emotion of the material. The effect is striking because it is irrational.

For initial testing purposes, I wear my new models every day without taking them off. This is how all my creations are born before being offered to you. Because my thread is beadless this time, I needed an absolute guarantee of durability.
It is not just a question of aesthetics; it is a question of wear. High-precision sculpting: I sculpt just as one "shapes" a surfboard. Shaping means carving and glazing, and it is exactly this artist-artisan technique that inspired me to create my own.
